227 New York Criticism Continued. Jane Courthope & Co Assisted by Chas. Forrester, in the comedy "A Fisherman's Luck" Jane Courthope is clever, while Forrester just about passes. The act contains several scattered laughs and is alright if on about 830 in the evening or 2.30 in the afternoon. Full stage, two shows. John D. Gilbert Comedian. This man held down this spot in good shape this afternoon, while his material is old he managed to carry them with him. Seventeen minutes in one, two shows. Elton-Polo Troupe Three man [men], in a casting act. They work quick, some of their feats are new. Received a big lot of applause throughout. An excellent closing act. Seven minutes, full stage. Kinetograph Russian-Japanese Peace Envoys Good photographically, and especially interesting at this time. Turning the Tables Fair comedy.
