237 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. Aug. 28, 1905. [?] H. Finn. 237 LAVINE CIMARON TRIO - Two men and a woman in an excellent comedy acrobatic act. 10 min. F. S. 4 in one. DORCH & RUSSELL-Two men in a scenic, novelty musical act. Their set is unusually fine and their act on the whole is a very good one. Can highly recommend it. 16 min. F. S. JOHN BIRCH-"The Man With the Hats," is playing his second engagement at this house and is making good. 13 min. in one. MR. & MRS. HOWARD TRUESDELL & CO.-Presenting "Aunt Louisa's Advice," originally a four-act comedy intended for Blanche Bates. There are a great many better playlets in vaudeville and quite a few not as good. Both Mr. and Mrs. Truesdell are just above the average. 23 min. F. S. LOUIS WESLEY-His only claim to distinction is that he appeared for one season with "The Maid and the Mummy." As a singer he is below par, and he went away with scarcily a hand. 12 min. in one. THE FIVE MOWATTS-These club jugglers, as nearly everybody, including The Temple, knows are about the best in this line. 9 min. F. S. J. FRANCIS DOOLEY AND GIRLS-The saving grace of this act is the two pretty girls for Francis can neither sing or be funny. He insisted on holding the stage about 25 minutes which was about 12 too long. MARCO TWINS-A very funny act that made good closing the show. 15 min. F. S. KINETOGRAPH-"Peace Envoys at Portsmouth." A corking good film.
