Temple Detroit March 9, 1908. MAREENA, NEVARO & MAREENA,- Equilibrists. Good act. 15 min. FS. LEON ROGEE,- Little act that got by in pretty good shape. 10 in one. ROBT. HENRY HODGE & CO.- An old variety afterpiece, played quite well on the part of Hodge, and quite indifferently on the part of the three women with him. Not good enough for two-a-day houses of the better class. 18 FS. CARSON & WILLARD,- Brought some new material and went quite strong with our audience. 18 min. in one. MR. HYMACK,- While his monologue is bad he more than made good with the novelty of the act, his changing gloves, collars, clothes etc. being quite extraordinary. The act can be classed as a first-class novelty. 9 min. in 3. HOUDINI,- Same big hit as formerly. Escapes from a large galvanized iron tank filled with water into which he is locked. Will create great talk. 22 min. FS. LEW HAWKINS,- Was a hit here and appears to be growing in favor every season. 15 min. in one. "NIGHT ON A HOUSEBOAT,"- One of the best and most showy acts Lasky has ever given us. It was very pleasing to our audience. 27 min. FS.
