PITTSBURG, PA.   GRAND OPERA HOUSE   FEB. 24th, 08.
DUDLEY & CHESLYN- 15 min. in one. Singing act. Very good for three a day-feature of which is the man's vocal efforts and the woman's character songs.
JUNO SALMO- Full stage, special drop. 10 min. This is the last word in contortion work. The man does not seem to have a bone or joint in his body. The act is neat, and so far as it is possible for contortion work to be refined, this one is. He has a beautiful setting and makes up as Mephisto.
MADAME HERRMANN- 20 minutes of magic and illusion-full stage. Mrs. Herrmann has seen her best days and her work here was akward and unconvincing.
LES HAWKINS- 15 min. in one. Black face monologue. Mr. Hawkins got away splendidly with a lot of old junk. He was really one of the hits of the bill.
MR. & MRS. JERRY BARRY-23 min. A new rural sketch "At Hensfoot Corner"  This is really the best thing this couple has done and Mr. Barry's diatribe on New York was really a gem of satire.
CARLYLE MOORE & [ETHELYN?] PALMER CO- In Cecil Me Mille's one-act romantic comedy-"The Man's the Thing". 22 minutes, full stage. This act is a story of colonial days and concluded with the best sword fight I have ever seen. It is a rattling good sketch and the finish fairly takes the audience off their feet.
WHITE CUNLIFFE-16 min. in one. English songs and monologues. The say that Herbert Cyril is an imitator of Mr. Cunliffe. If this is true, we should make counterfeit the coin of the realm. Mr. Cunliffe, putting it mildly, is a frost.
FADETTE'S WOMAN'S ORCHESTRA. 30 minutes, full stage. Undoubtedly the best musical organization in vaudeville.
LINA [MABRDER?]-15 min., full stage. This is a very pretty horse act if you have not seen Theresa Renz but it does not begin to compare with Ren' act- either from a pictorial standpoint or from that of equestrianism.
VALVENO BROS-9 min. full stage. Equilibrists and gymnasts. One of the best three a days in their line.
MAY EVANS- 10 min. in one. Whistler and imitator of birds. Very clever and looks modest and refined.
