Phila.-2. occasional sallies of wit were the only things that gave interest to the act. Closed with fair hand and two curtain calls. WATSON'S FARMYARD:- 20 min. F.S. On at 9:32. Practically the same as presented here before and just as big an amusement act for the children. EVA TANGUAY:- 18 min. in 1. On at 9:52. A RIOT!- THE SIX BONESETTIS:- 8 min. F.S. On at 10:10. An excellent ground tumbling act. Five men and one woman. Their work is of the regulation order, with some new stunts, and all expert. They make a very good appearance. An excellent closing act for any house. KINETOGRAPH:- DOINGS OF A FOOL:- This is an amusing comedy film. ARTISTIC RAG-PICKERS:- A genuine novelty in motion pictures. JOHANNESBURG BY ELECTRIC TRAIN:- An interesting travel film. ADAMS & WHITE:- 12 min. F.S. On at 6:44. Outside of the novelty of this act there is not much in it. Man and woman play on musical pipes, bells, harmonicas concealed in boquets of flowers, vine-grown shed, dining-room utensils. Fair applause at finish, holds down a three-a-day spot. EDNA FITZPATRICK:- 12 min. in 1. On at 6:56. Makes a pretty appearance. Sings and dances very well. A local act and has a future. At the price it is certainly a bargain. GENERAL REMARKS:- This is a great show running smoothly and impressively from the first to the last. There was not a single fall-down or a shift from the first performance. The only severe criticism that could be suggested is the support of NANCE O'NEIL which not only hurts her reputation but is very bad for any house that plays her. I understand that she has a new feature in contemplation for next feature in Vaudeville, but if she surrounds herself with such people as she seemed contented with now, she will not be able to get by with this audience again. It may be Mr. McKee Rankin's superannuated idea of how Booth and forty supers to make the show, but that sort of thing will not go now. TANGUAY made the greatest hit of any woman that ever came on the stage in this house. When the curtain went down on the previous act, the advance applause started and kept up til she appeared, when she was greeted with a storm. As the "Evening Telegraph" says to-day, "--it was one of the biggest demonstrations ever pulled off at Keith's and proved that Miss Tanguay is the most popular feature in contemporary Vaudeville". The advance sale is immense and the promises of big business is borne out by the evidence. CUTS & OBJECTIONS:- WATERMELON TRUST:- Gag,-"I got one for you, but it's gone now" after scratching head. Fingers to nose. Comedian-- Omit corsets from make-up at finish of act.
