N. S. HASTINGS. 41. APR. 6 '08. CLEVELAND, OHIO. MARSEILLES. Man. F.S. special blue plush set. Time 7. The young contortionist does a lot of effective and new work ending with a whirlwind finish. Frequent applause. RAYMOND and Caverly German comedians. In 1. time, 16. Most of their act is only fair, singing and talking. Their finish of a burlesque on Grand Opera got a good hand. WORMWOOD'S MONKEYS Monkeys and dogs. Time 18. F.S. Garden. A great, screaming comedy act introducing several skillful stunts including some wonderful bicycle riding by the monkeys. One big hit all through. THE BASQUE QUARTETTE. In 1. time 12. 1 woman, 3 men. Singing high class operatic selections. They are all real singers and received an enthusiastic reception. Each voice is exceptionally clear and pleasing. MR and MRS SIDNEY DREW.& Co. Time 20. In 2, special steamboat deck set. 2 women, 3 men. Presenting "Billy's Tombstones." The plot is original, the acting beyond criticism and the effect a howl from start to finish. JAMES H. CULLEN In 1. Time, 16. Songs. A huge man with a soft voice. At first he looks doubtful, but as his songs are merely a vehicle for a sort of monologue, he gets the people laughing and he finished Monday afternoon with several real encores to his credit. SIX AMERICAN DANCERS. 3 men, 3 girls. Time 15. In [3?]. Special curtain. The curtain divides a little at the middle to introduce each dancing member with a short tableau. They dance singly, in duos and trios and finally ensemble. They are all experts and work hard and fast. Their frequent changes of costumes are neat and effective. One of the very best dancing acts I have ever seen, not outclassed by the Four Fords. HORACE GOLDIN. Assisted by Jeanne Francilli and several men assistants. F.S. Special elaborate set. Time 16. Illusion and magic. There is not a word spoken from start to finish, which gives Mr Goldin a splendid opportunity to work fast. He has many entirely new tricks and the old ones are done so neatly that they are acceptable. It has been a long time since we have had a closing feature that has held the people in their seats so well. THE KINETOGRAPH.
