50 50 Report on Columbus, Show, Week April 13th. -- 08. [?. ?.] Prosser. THE PIQUAYS: Man and woman equilibrists and hand balancers. -- Both make a very nice appearance and their tricks all all well executed. -- The act won considerable applause. -- The finish was fairly strong. 8 minutes Palace in 4. NETTA VESTA: Singing comedienne who sang three songs the last of which she had to force on the audience. -- Seems to me that she sings off key. -- Her appearance is O. K. but she did not seem to make much of an impression. 9 minutes olio in one. HENRY OLIVES & CO: Hardly know what to call his act except travesty or burlesque on magic. -- He has a unique delivery and manner, the woman renders satisfactory assistance. -- The man is droll in his line of talk and scored with it after the audience became aware of the fact that he was "kidding" it. -- I believe that with a good house this act will go strong. -- He does one simple trick for a finish but that is all. Wou;d term the act successful. 10 minutes C. D. F. WARREN & BLANCHARD: Singing and talking act and one that made a distinct hit. -- The work is different from anything that has been seen here and the applause was frequent. -- The finish was all that could be desired. [28?] minutes Street in one. MIDGLEY & CARLISLE: Well know team in comedy sketch " After School." Looked for a bit hit here and was badly disappointed. -- For some unaccountable reason they failed to catch on to any extent. -- There were a few laughs but that was about all. -- Personally I think well of the act but the house did not. Landscape in four 22 minutes. THE RAYS: Roman Travesty: Three people, two men, one woman. -- This act is quite a novelty so far as this town is concerned and the work was well received. -- It won quite a number of laughs and the finish was strong enough to cause them to take a couple of bows. Special drop in one 13minutes. WHITING & MELNOTTE SISTERS: Two girls and one man in a singing and dancing act that came as near being a complete falldown as anything we have had for a long time. -- There doesn't seem to be anything especially bad about this act but on the other hand there is nothing of particular merit judging from its reception. -- They worked hard but failed to score. Olio in one 19 minutes. THE THREE YOSCARRYS: Three men in an eccentric comedy acrobatic act in which a number of exceptionally good tricks are performed. -- There was marked approval throughout the work and the act really went better than anything on the bill. Garden in four. 8 minutes. PICTURES O. K.
