Saving...
Phila.-2. W. C. FIELDS, Juggler:- 16 min. F.S. On at 9:42. Advance hand. Well known everywhere and one of the best in the business. Tricks skilful and humor constant. Closed big with four curtain calls. EMMA CARUS, Vocaliste:- 16 min. in 1. On at 9:58. Advance hand. A favorite here. Each one of her selections was well received. Songs are good and she sings them very pleasingly. Encore and two curtain calls. CASTING DUNBARS:- 9 min. F.S. On at 10:14. Well known on the Circuit and very expert and interesting, the comedy being especially amusing. Laughter and applause throughout. Big close. KINETOGRAPH:- Animated Snow Balls:- This picture has a good strong finish which is its saving grace. The first part of the picture is rather dull. Just about gets by as a Kinetograph feature. FIRE MANEOUVERS IN MADRID:- A splendid series, full of interest from start to finish. J. WARREN KEANE, Magician:- 20 min. in 2. On at 6:53. Man making good presentation using the regulation paraphenalia. Good three-a-day act. Fair hand at the close. SEYMOUR & NESTOR:- 17 min. in 1. Close F.S. On at 7:13. In the supper show this act gets by. Boy and a woman. Opens in one with a song with the see-saw, goes to two, introducing the boy in a sacred song,- and Italian dialect song, finishing with imitation of Harry Lauder. The lad has much talent and will succeed in no small way if he keeps on. I understand that this is mother and son,- if such is the case, she would do well to substitute another partner for the kid. GENERAL REMARKS:- This show runs smoothly and fills the bill for Holy Week, when we always expect light houses.
