59 CITICISM KEITH & PROCTOR'S 125TH STREET THEATRE APRIL 13 1908 LA VEOLA Well known. Makes a very pleasing appearance and several changes of costume. Act consists of singing, dancing, and finishe with a little bit of acrobatic and contortion work. Would be more beneficial down the bill. Not fast enough to open the show. Finished fairly good. Nine Minutes in Two. THE BRITTONS Too well known to need any comment. Very fast singing and dancing act. Britton's dancing got the crowd. Eleven Minutes in One. MAURICE LEVY AND HIS BAND From a manager's standpoint when you consider the salary of this man and that of Gennaro and the number of men, the jury would prefer Gennaro. While his selections are good and received some recognition, the set in its entirety did not seem to go as strong as Gennaro. His encore was forced. Twenty-six Minutes. THE MC NAUGHTONS Well known. Big advance applause. Just the sort of act that pleases. Secured the biggest laughssup to this time. Seventeen Minutes in One. RYAN, RICHFIELD & CO. Presenting "Mag Haggerty's Reception". Mr. Ryan's wife was taken ill and he substituted her sister who did fairly well would allow her to leave. Twenty-two Minutes in One. THE FINNEYS Quite a novel act. Interesting and held the attention of the audience to the finish. They appreciated their work and gave them a strong round of applause. Ten Minutes Full Stage. KINETOGRAPH The Cowboy and the School Marm Fair
