63. Report on Columbus Show week April 20th. -- 08. -- W. W. Prosser. The Craigs: Man and woman doing a refined musical act that went big. They play cow and sleigh bells, the dulcimer etc. and do so very effectively. Their line of selections is of the popular order and they all went big. -- The act is well worth while C. D. F. Close in one 15 minutes. Paradise Alley: A combination girl and comedy act. -- The comedy is of the very low order usually seen in the 10-20-30 melo drama. The singing of the two principals, man and woman, also their dancing was well received. -- There is a thread of a story running through the act and out of the idea some comedy of the rough order is gotten. -- The act is just about right for a number two spot in this house. Special set 15 minutes. Callahan & St George: Sketch "The Old Neighborhood" rearranged for man and woman instead of two men as in the earlier days of this act. -- Callahan has lost noe of his charm as an interpreter of the lovable old Irishman and Miss St. George certainly affords him most capable support. -- There was solid applause at various points of the act and the finish was decidedly strong. Special set in three 28 minutes. Ila Grannon: A singing comedienne who has a pleasing personality and who made a most favorable impression. -- Her method is very quiet and unassuming but she has the knack of holding attention and she was compelled to take an enchore and then a bow. She proved a pleasant surprise. 12 minutes in one. Valerie Bergere: In her well known playlet, His Japanese Wife. -- Miss Bergere was one of the most substantial hits we have had in a sketch for a long time. -- She won many marks of approval throughout her act and the finish was very strong. She is the same capable artist as of yore and is given admirable support by capable people. The act was a distinct hit. C. D. F. 30 minutes. Raymond & Cavalry: German Comedians: They went big from beginning to end. -- Everything they did seemed to please greatly. 16 minutes Street in one. Josetti Troupe: An acrobatic act of unusual merit; two men four boys or lilliputians. -- All of their tricks are executed in a most excellent manner and the applause was scattered all through the act. -- The finish was all that could be desired. Palace 10 minutes. Pictures: O. K.
