WARD & CURRAN, "The Terrible Judge":- 30 min. F.S. Close in 1. On at 8:54. Advance hand. Well known, particularly here. Introduced a lot of amusing gags, a good many of them local. Curran's singing is a good feature of the act in his various impressions of the Italian, German and Irish woman, etc. The act kept the audience in good humor and closed well, with two curtain calls. WM. ROCK & MAUDE FULTON, S. & D.:- 25 min. in 1. Close F.S. On at 9:24. Advance hand. This act has been described from New York, and all that has been said of it has been fully justified. It is at once original in every detail, thoroughly artistic and on a high comedy plane. The audience gave it a great reception, not willing to let them go. Six curtain calls, three encores and little speech. NAT M. WILLS, Tramp Comedian:- 21 min. in 1. On at 9:49. Advance hand. Made his usual big hit. Gave us some new stuff, but the greater part of it was remote antiquity. However, it all went, for Nat is irresistible. Strong hand and encore again and again. HORACE GOLDIN, Illusionist:- 20 min. F.S. On at 10:10. Advance hand. A simply great closing feature. All that Goldin does is finished and exact, without any bulls or flaws in his work. The bridal chamber is (so all to-day's papers concur) certainly the greatest feat of its kind. Held the interest throughout, each feat winning big applause. Made big customary strong finish. KINETOGRAPH:- ORDERLY JAMISON:- Fairly good comedy. THAMES REGATTA:- An interesting travel series. BRIARCLIFF AUTO. RACE:- a short film only about 3-1/2 minutes long and in parts very badly photographed, but on the whole, timely and interesting enough to warrant a little extra advertising. If it goes well will hold it a second week. LA BELLE VEOLA:- S. & D.:- 10 min: in 1. On at 6:45. Clever little dancer Her singing does not amount to very much, but the various dancing stunts and change of costume are quite fetching and make good in this section. MARTINEZ & MARTINEZ:- Musical act:- 15 min. in 2. On at 6:55. Fairly good musical act using mandolin, guitar, xylophone, saxaphone, banjo, etc. Need a good deal of work to occupy a more important spot, but managed to win out very well. GENERAL REMARKS:- This is a big show, as we have been advertising it. The press and our patrons seem to be thoroughly of one voice.
