77 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT. Week, May 11th, 1908 Valoni. In a small juggling and balancing act. Nothing startling about it, but during the course of the act he introduces a number of doves, has very pretty trappings and makes a very good sight act to open the show with. Work & Ower. A very good comedy acrobatic act. It also holds the record here for speed. It takes about as long to set and strike the table and pad as it does to do the act. Time five minutes in one. Foster & Foster. Comedy singing and piano act by two men. The comedy and piano playing of one is the big end of the act. The straight man is a fair singer. Went very good yesterday and finished to strong applause. Fancy in three, 15 min. Close in one 7 min. John C. Rice and Sally Cohen. Presenting H. H. Winslow's one-act comedy- "A Bachelor's Wife." The sketch is quite different from anything that we have had. It fits Mr Rice like a glove. He gets a great deal of comedy out of it and pleased our audience immensely. Fancy in three 27 minutes. Cartmell & Harris. Very neat dancing team. Laura Harris is the feature. Makes a very dainty appearance. Open in one 4 min. Full stage 3 min. Close in one 3 min. Harry Tate's English Comedy Co. In "Motoring". This act is a great repeater. while it has played here three times before, it went stronger yesterday than on any previous visit. 14 min. in [?] Jack Norworth. "The College Boy" Personally I do not think that the new material he has is as good as that he presented last year. Jack is quite a favorite here, and is going very good. 18 min. in one. Joseph Hart's Crickets. Katherine Bunn, Soprano, W. N. Cripps, Tenor. while this act does not create a great deal of applause, I am satisfied that it pleases all the way, and causes quite a little talk outside. In my opinion Katherine Bunn is an improvement to the act. Full stage 19 min. Kinetograph.
