-3- Kinetograph. On at 10.04. "The Little Cockswain of the Varsity Crew." Why is it when the Edison Company starts to tell a picture story, they tell it after the style of Laura Jean Libby or Theodore Kramer, instead of telling it in a natural way. Here is a capital subject spoiled by the amount of "mush" that is brought into it, together with some scenes that the "verriest rube" would immediately spot as absolutely impossible. "A Dynamite Duel." An excellent comic picture. Cuts. Schrode and Mulvey.--"Look like Held" Clarke-Babcock Co. One "damned", two "dams" and one "what the ----". Told to use "Thank Goodness" instead of "Thank God." Comment. A very good vaiety show. A strong sketch and a strong act in one, instead of two of the lighter offerings, would make it good enough for any week.
