GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG, PA. AUG. 31st, 08.
JOHN ZIMMER-10 minutes, Olio. 3 shows.
A very good juggling act.
LILLIAN TYCE-10 minutes, olio. Singing comedienne.
I am very much disappointed in Miss Tyce. The act is nothing of the hit of the former effort of Tyce & Jermon. She is not going well.
GUS EDWARDS' KOUNTRY KIDS-21 minutes, special set. Comedy singing and dancing act.
 There is no one in this act that  could be credited with any great talent. However, they work together very well and get considerable applause. The act is not to be compared with the "School Boys and Girls".
CLAUDE GILLINGWATER - 35 min. Interior in "The Wrong Man".
A very good sketch that went very big. Mr. Gillingwater is a very clever actor. There is one member of his company, Mr. Gwynne, who is without doubt the worst actor in America.
JAS. F. MCDONALD- 15 min. Olio. Stories and songs.
Doing only fair.
CASSELLI'S DOGS-10 minutes, wood.
One of the best dog acts we have ever played.
THE VILLAGE CHOIR IN THE ANGELUS-20 min. opening in one about 15 min., closing full stage 5 min.
There has been considerable money spent on this act in the way of drops and lights, also three additional people. I would much prefer to play the Village Choir in their old act. The addition of The Angelus is not only expensive but is surely a detriment.
MCINTRYE & HEATH- 35 min., opening in one 25 min., closing full stage, wood, 10 min. "The Georgia Minstrels". The same big hit as formerly.
FROSINI-10 min. Olio. Surely a novelty and the applause hit of the show.
[BELLONG?] BROS- Cyclo Equilibrists. 10 min. Full stage, garden.
This cannot be classed as a great act but it would get by almost any place on the bill.
MELROSE & KENNEDY- 5 shows, 12 min. Full stage, comedy acrobatic act
Very good from a three a day standpoint.
HARRY BURGOYNE-15 min. 3 shows. Olio. Coster singer. Does very well for three shows.
GOFORTH & DOYLE- Interior, 15 min. 3 shows. Comedy sketch introducing singing and drum solos. The value of this act from a 3 a day standpoint lies solely in the length of it. They do 17 min. which is valuable at six o'clock.
