Report on Columbus Show week Sept. 14th. -- 08. W. W. Prosser. THEO & CAMILLE LAJESS: Man and woman doing contortion and ring work all of which is pretty fair and which made good to the extent of earning scattered and applause at the finish. Not at all bad for an opener. Garden in 4 12 minutes. SULLIVAN and PASQUELENA: Comedy sketch "The C. O. D. Package. Woman does a tough girl and impersonates an actress, man does a straight. -- There is some comedy in the act by the woman that went very well, the man sings gaining some favor. Nothing striking about the act in any way but it made good to quite an extent and finished well. Opens in one special drop goes to 3 special, and closes in 1, 20 minutes. SIGNOR EL COTA: XYLOPHONIST and the best we ever had here. His work is all clear cut and his execution remarkable. He was a distinct hit. 17 minutes in one. MAY DURYEA & CO: Comedy sketch "The Imposter" -- Act well known and got by very well for an act of this kind. -- Sketches here are generally lemons. 22 minutes C. D. F. THE QUARTET: Well known act but not as good as last year. -- At least it made nothing like the favorable impression. -- Seems that there are two new boys in the act which does not possess the hit 'em hard quality that was evident before. 17 minutes in one. CLARENCE WILBUR & CO. Musical comedy skit "The New Scholar". Wilbur is a low comedian and he got a lot of laughs with his various ridiculous bits. -- The singing of the girls wnet excellently and the act all in all was the hit of the bill. No fault to find. 32 minutes special set. The Great Josettis: Well known act that is without a fault. It was a distinct hit. 15 minutes. Palace in 4. PICTURES O. K.
