Boston Show, Week of September 21, 1908. Carl D. Lothrop (Monday, Sept. 21st--Evening Show) Potter and Harris. On at 7.01, 9 minutes, full stage, three shows. A man and a woman in a neat gymnastic act, much of the work being done on the flying rings. Should make an acceptable opener almost anywhere, and can hold a better spot in many of the smaller houses. A bargain. XX1 Amy Anderson & Co. On at 7.10, open 3 minutes in one, close 8 minutes in two, 11 minutes in all. An alleged act, and nothing more, the only thing of merit in it being some acrobatic work by a really wonderful ground tumbler. This man with a proper partner would be a sensation. The act itself is odoriferous. X- 144 Overture. On at 7.20, 11 minutes. Phil Bennett. On at 7.31, 9 minutes in one, 3 shows. Makes an attractive appearance in an Italian street singer's costume. Sings three selections and accompanies himself on a mammouth guitar, closing with a yodle song. Has a resonant tenor voice and is a wonderful yodler. Made thoroughly good and would like to place him as late as 8.30 on the bill. Personally I think he will pass at No. 2 in almost any show. XX Elite Musical Four. On at 7.40, 15 minutes, full stage, 3 minutes close in one, 18 minutes in all. Four men in a straight instrumental musical act. They have improved a whole lot since they played for us at the Orpheum, about a year ago, and I consider them well worth the $225 we are paying them. In fact, I think they will satisfactorily fill a good spot in many a show needing a musical act. XX Conroy, LeMaire and Co. On at 7.58, open in one, 4 minutes, close full stage, 20 minutes, 24 minutes in all. An old
