CLEVELAND, O. SEPT. 28, 1908. N. S. HASTINGS. WOOD BROTHERS- Palace in five. Time 8. Two men. Fast and some new material. Double flying ring. Fair applause. Sam Williams- In one. Time 12. Sits at piano and entertains with songs and talk. Songs were catchy and new. Fair. DIXON BROTHERS- Open C. D. F. close in one. Time 16. Two men, Grotesque clown. Comedy in this act is very good and kept the people laughing all the time. They play several odd looking instruments and ge good melody out of them. Would do well further up the bill. Two minute wait. CLAUDE GILLINGWATER & CO., C. D. F. Time 32. Two men, two women. Presenting Gillinwater's old play "The Wrong Man". The act went as strong as ever which means that it kept the people laughing from start to finish. ORIGINAL BOOT BLACK QUARTETTE- Special drop in one and one half. Time 12. Four young men, three in "Tough" character, one comedy, the tenor of the orginization is very bad in his solo but the quartette work is good and received considerable applause. The eccentric dance by the comedian got a big hand. Close in one. MISS LISLE LEIGH & CO.,- Two women, one man. C. D. F. Time [18?]. Presenting "Weaving the Net". This is a melodramatic sketch fairly well acted with legimate comedy relief. The plot is unusual but the general impression is rather weak. Not much applause. ELINORE SISTERS- In One. time 22. New act, new costumes. Kate is still the main stay of the act and her sister is the feeder. Their lines are bright and funny and the people apparently couldn't get enough of them Monday afternoon. BROTHERS PHILLIPI- Full stage palace. Time 8. Head and hand balancing. The work is fair but too quiet for a closing act many got up and left Practically no applause at close. THE KINETOGRAPH-
