Cook Opera House. Sept. 28th. 1908 - Rochester. LIEUT. ROBT. ELDRIDGE. 9 min. FS. Open in 1, 2 min. Colored sand pictures, and stereopticon pictures of alleged battle scenes. This act is of small merit, and it only cheapens a show. Cut gag about dog with fleas, "didn't get them sleeping with me." CARBREY BROS. 8 min. in one. An excellent dancing act, but the young men should be told to cut out the song at the opening. The most blase could not ask for a better dancing number. FARRELL - TAYLOR TRIO. 24 min. FS. 6 min. in 1. An excellent comedy, singing and instrumental act, but their act is too long by seven or eight minutes. Cut "Where was you punctured," and all pertaining to it. SAM ELTON. 10 min. FS. Elton didn't go well at all here, going away with scarcily a hand. The act has been seen here before, and of course that was against it. SIG. EL COTA. 14 min. in one. Considerable ability is displayed by this young man on the xylophone and snare drum, and his act was well received. GIBSON GIRLS. 11 min. FS. Swell looking act, with two songs, and some high kicking. The grouping was the feature. Its too bad the act does not carry someone to work the "cues," as it depends almost entirely on the lights. Avery & Hart. 20 min. in one. Same act as before. Well received. FLORENZ FAMILY 10 min. FS. This act distinguished itself here by missing very nearly every feat attempted.
