GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG, PA., Oct. 26th, 08. YOUNA & WARDELL-18 minutes, 3 shows. Interior. Juggling. A very neat act for the three a day section. ED GRAY-15 minutes, 3 shows. Would get by in the two a day houses as late as 8:15. He is surely the best monologue we have playing three shows. T. NELSON DOWNS-Olio-16 minutes. Coin manipulator Great-better than any I have ever seen. ZELIE DE LUSSAN-Interior in 3. 15 minutes. The best in her line. She is a beautiful woman, wears handsome gowns, sings better and gets more applause than any singing act we have ever played, and incidentally advances the box office receipts considerable. CAMERON & FLANAGAN-18 min. kitchen, opening in one. "On and Off". This act is too well known for comment except to say that they are the same big hit as ever. PICCOLO MIDGETS-13 minutes, garden. Open in one. Their fifth appearance here and going very well in a hard place. STUART BARNES-18 minutes, olio. Monologue. Very good-taking several bows at every performance. In my opinion, as an entertainer, he is undoubtedly among the best monologues in the business. SIX MUSICAL CUTTYS-Palace-16 min., closing in one 3 min. Beautiful costumes, good music and a big hit at every performance. DEWITT-BURNS & TORRENCE-"The Awakening of the Toys". Special, 12 min. This act has not played for us in three years and is surely a novelty. The acrobatic work is exceptionally good and they are going very well-closing the show. BARRY & HALVERS-18 minutes, interior, closing in one 3 minutes. This act is not keeping up to the times and are only doing fairly well for us. EIGHT PALACE GIRLS ASSISTED BY MR. CLEMONS, Singing and dancing, 15 minutes. One of the best girl acts we have played. The singing is good, costumes fine, and the dancing very good. John P. Harris.
