Report on Columbus Show week Nov. 9th. -- 08. W. W. Prosser. Johnny Busch Trio: Man, little girl and boy. -- Man does some trapeze work that made a favorable impression. -- The little girl is used to fill in she makes a nice appearance and wins out with the audience. -- The little boy is a clever chap and he made a hit with the house in his cross fire comedy with his father. By no means a poor act especially for the position given and better than some we have had. Finished very nicely. 15 minutes Terrace in four close in one. Steeley & Edwards: Two men in musical act, one straight, the other blackface. -- The comedy is fair the music good. Play a number of instruments and play them well. -- The act made a very good impression and finished well. 23 minutes C. D. F. finish in one. Viola DeCosta & CO. Bohemian comedy musical skit. Miss Decosta dresses well but is not strong on singing. --The four men with her are fair both as to acting and singing. There were some evidences of approval during the act and while it did not go big it could not fairly be termed bad. 26 minutes special set. Milt Wood: Milt in comparsion with the majority of dancers holds about the same position that Gilbert does to the librettists. He has them beaten so far that it is not worth talking about. -- He was given a reception on his entrance and everything he offered won marked approval. -- Up to this time the hit of the bill. 10 minutes in one. Angela Dalores & CO. in Cupid At Home, a satirical comedy sketch. One woman, two men. Story: Henpecked husband, Clubby wife. Hubby makes wife jealous by a ruse which leads her to believe that he has another woman on the string. -- The scheme works out successfully reversing conditions and making the man master of the situation. The story is told in a manner that seemed to hold the interest, there are quite a number of laughs along the way and a moment or so that are almost serious. Miss Dalores make a very attractive appearance and the act proved generally acceptable. Not great but equal to many sketches. 18 minutes C. D. F. Stuart Barnes: A real artist who came on the stage grabbed his audience by the hand and made it yell for more after twenty-two minutes of songs and talk. Too bad that Barnes can't play four or five cities at once and take the places of some of the acts we have in one, the kind that usually make the "rotten orchestra" exit, usually the funniest thing they do. 22 minutes in one. Selma Braatz: European Juggler who made good all the way through and who finished strong. -- None of her material is especially new but it is good and well done. 13 minutes Garden in 4. Pictures O. K.
