Report on Columbus Show week Nov. 23rd. -- 08. W. W. Prosser. LUCE & LUCE: Man and woman in a musical act of fair value. -- None of their work is startling but all moderately well done. -- For an opener they answered the purpose and really finished much better than I looked for in the beginning. 17 minutes close in one. TOM NAWN & CO: In "One Touch Of Nature." -- The act went as well as in days of yore. Many a laugh earned and deserved. 23 minutes landscape full stage. PEALSON, GOLDIE & LEE: Three men in a singing and comedy act. They do a straight, Jew, Dago, whistling, singing, comedy, in fact a little of everything and all of their efforts were favorably received. -- Filled the spot very acceptably and held the attention all the way through. -- Finish was strong. LASKY'S HOBOES: Had this act billed to me as Lasky's 8 Hoboes but there are only seven here. -- Comedy and singing all of which made a distinctly favorable impression the act in style is new here and its novelty seemed to count in its favor. -- No fault to find. 24 minutes wood in four. -- Finish in one. THE VAN DYCK: Mr. Harrison Hunter and Company. -- A very striking tragic-comedy. --It seemed to have them guessing this afternoon the unlooked for finale appeared to puzzle them. -- Mr. Hunter is a crackerjack actor and his assts. all that could be desired. Took several bows at the finish and must be credited with having scored in no uncertain manner. -- It is an act that I beli[e]ve will cause more talk on the outside than demonstration in the house. Couldn't find fault if I tried. Fancy Interior 24 minutes. VIOLET ALLEN & CO: in Keeping An Appointment. -- Woman and three men. -- The act is a typical Searl Allen product its value being its action which is without cessation. -- Also that it is in one. It won a lot of laughs and there was no w[ea]k place that I could detect. Has a novel finish and the getaway was strong. 21 minutes special in one. KREMKA BROS: European Gymnasts who went as big as anything of the kind we have had for a long time. -- They don't fourflush but keep moving all the time. Finished well. Palace 8 minutes. PICTURES O. K.
