GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG, PA., Nov. 30th, 08. THREE LIVINGSTONS-10 minutes, wood. Comedy bar act. Copied from the Camille Trio. I would not care to recommend this act very late on the bill. MILT WOOD-9 minutes, olio. The best of all dancers; a very poor singer. W. E. Whittle- 20 minutes, full stage, special. Ventriloquist. Mr. Whittle is a very good ventriloquist with a fine setting. In my opinion he is good enough to play on any bill as late as nine o'clock. HAL MERRITT-Olio in one, 17 minutes. Cartoon and monologue. Mr. Merritt is doing very well for us. I have him on at 2:40 and 8:40 and he is going good. THE LOVE WALTZ-Special, 35 minutes. It is too bad that this beautiful act is hurt with the attempted comedy. The comedy is undoubtedly the worst I have ever heard. However, the act is a hit and I am sure that it draws us some money. PEARL & YOSCO- 16 minutes in one. Singers, harpists and cellists. This act is fully as strong as Keefe & Pearl. Going very big at every performance. ROBT. HENRY HODGE & CO.- 20 minutes, interior. Sketch-"Bill Blithers" Going very good. This act could be much improved with a different opening and closing. EMPIRE CITY QUARTETTE- 21 minutes, street. Going very big but being over paid at least $250. LES SILVAS-10 minutes, Wood. Ladder balancing. The greatest act of its kind. John P. Harris.
