-2- Nat. M. Wills. On at 3.56, 24 minutes in one. The same old Wills with a lot of the same old stuff, and a little new material. Went very big as usual. XX1 12 Kitamura Japs. On at 4.20, 18 minutes full stage, special drop and carpet, which are the finest specimens of Japanese embroidery I have ever seen, excepting possibly the costumes worn by the troupe at the opening of the act. The twelve little brown men make a great flash and their work is up to the high standard set by the Kitamura and Kitabanza troupes. Everything they do in the way of perch work, acrobatics and foot juggling is particularly well done, and I do not hesitate to pronounce it the best all round Jap Troupe we have ever played. XX1 "A Visit from Santa Claus." On at 4.38. This is our special children's feature for this week. It opens with that capital film "A Visit from Santa Claus," running about twelve minutes, or up to the time Santa goes down the chimney. Then up goes the curtain on an interior scene, showing a visit from Santa. The little ones are then brought on the stage from the audience, a gift being handed to each youngster under twelve years of age, present at the matinee performance. Kinetograph. "Wood Pulp Industry."--A very interesting film. "A strong Gale." A very good comic. Comment. A rattling good show from start to finish, full of life and action. Pretty nearly an ideal show for a holiday week. XX1 from start to finish.
