GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG, PA., DEC. 7th, 08. ED MORTON- Singing Comedian. 15 minutes, olio. This man is going very big with us. Consider him one of the best acts in the business when the salary is considered. THREE LELLIOTTS- Comedy Musical act. 19 minutes, interior. While this is not a great act it seems to please our patrons. FRED RAY'S PLAYERS-Special, olio. 15 minutes. In my opinion Mr. Ray's successor is not nearly so good as the original. His attempt at impersonating Mr. Ray's voice is really a detriment to him. It interferes with his landing the points in the act. DANDY GEORGE DUO- Introducing the dog Rosie. Special, full stage, 14 minutes. A very good act. The dog is very clever and the work of the woman is exceptionally good. TUSCANY TROUBADOURS- 22 minutes, special in one. Great voices and going big. BARROWS-LANCASTER CO- Interior. In their sketch "Like Father, Like Son". 21 minutes. Going very big with our audience. Personally, I think it is the worst thing they have ever given us. The ladies in the act are very bad. ALICE LLOYD- Olio in one, 25 minutes. Going very big-singing five songs at each show. MIRZA GOLEM TROUPE-11 minutes, special. Acrobats. while this is a very good act it does not commence with the Mellinos and they are undoubtedly getting too much money. LIGHTNING HOPPER-Cartoonist- 3 shows. 10 minutes, garden in two. A very good act for the three a day section. John P. Harris.
