KEITH'S-HIPPODROME. Cleveland, O. Ned S. Hastings. March 29th, 1909 ALBA. In 3. Man assistant. Time 10. The woman is a heavy weight juggler, manipulating cannonballs, projectiles and gun carriages much after the fashion of Paul Conchas. The act could hold down a far harder spot on the bill. The act is not in the Conchas class, but very good for a woman. MR QUICK. In 1. Time 15. Draws several amusing cartoons rapidly. A hit. GEORGE WHITING & THE CLARK SISTERS(2). In 1. Time 15. Dancing good. Comedy mediocre. Songs very good. Fair hand. FIVE AVOLOS. In 2. Time 16. 2 men, 3 women. Xylophonists. Here is a great act, first class from start to finish. Quintettes and duets. An immense hit. MR & MRS GARDNER CRANE & CO. 3 men, 2 women. Spec. in 3. Time 29. "Pixleys Prodigal Parents". Barring a poor start, this farce is excellent. The situations are unique and the lines crisp. Laughter throughout. Everything neatly done. Big hit. TUSCANY TROUBADORS. In 1. 2 spec drops. time 24. 3 men, 3 women and musical director. There is a little shade of a plot about which several excellent singing numbers, of classical order, are placed. Every voice is first class, and the ensemble singing unusually good. The best singing act of this season. BLANCHE RING. In 1. Time, 14. Miss Ring sings 4 songs. Her "Yip Iadee I Aye" is a wonder and through it she managed to get the audience singing back at her. This is the first time this has been done here for two years. Here is one star from the legitimate who has made good in vaudeville here. THE PISSIUTIS. 2 men, 2 women. F.S., black panorama. Time 9. Excellent acrobatic riding on horseback. Also hand balancing. Much applause throughout.
