BIJOU THEATRE PAWTUCKET R. I. Week Commencing Monday August 30th 1909 MARIE ELMER Soprano singer, straight, well dressed sang popular stuff and went well with the audience 8 minutes in one ADAMS TRIO One woman and two men, comedy sketch about a Ping Pong teacher and a teacher of Boxing, introducing some burlesque boxing and a little bout at the finish. The sketch is funny and in the hands of more capable people would be a scream. They done 12 minutes full stage and got some good laughs and their finish went good. Suitable for small time after they get it broke in JOE CAREY Songs and Stories. Eccentric make up and his style of working caught on and he was a hit. Songs and stories are good, he stayed with them for 18 minutes in one and went off with a good hand THE PELOTS Man and woman comedy juggling act, hit of the show, great comedy and the woman is a juggler 22 minutes 7 of it it one MANTELLA The Girl With The Mask. The Mysterious Dancer Of Spain. As far as the dancing goes it will never draw any thing on its merits in this town. The mystery of wearing the Mask excites their curiosity and they will come to see her. 10 minutes in fancy set interior. At the matinee she did not get a hand, at the night show she went better GARDNER, WEST & SUNSHINE Man and woman and colored girl singing and talking act. Colored girl sings from the Box going on the stage after and working in the Trio. The songs are good but old and the talking is good. This act has sung the same songs for the last seven years but as they have never played here they went big. A closing song by the trio introducing some local stuff made a big hit. 18 minutes in one David R Buffinton BIJOU FORMERLY KEITH'S PAWTUCKET
