REPORT OF BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 1, 2 and 3. RICHARDS--- Dainty Dancing Types--Female Impersonator; changes costumes several times; dancing very neatly and when he took off his wig was a great surprise; carries plush drop. 11 min. full stage. This act hardly got a hand. EARLE & BARTLETT--- This act replaces Athos & Reed who refused to go on--their principal excuse they stated was that they could not put their four mats down on the stage (stage too small) and that the stage floor was not in condition to skate on--the woman absolutely refused to go on, therefore, under the circumstances I did the best I could--got this act from Boston Office--This act is principally a talking act--lot of nonsensical talking, wind-up with a song. 15 min. in one; went good. WEST & EDWARDS--- Musical Comedians--Two men; one blackface, other straight. Act consists comedy talk and musical numbers on several different musical instruments. 16 min. in one; went good. A S Watson
