Report of PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of November 21, 1910. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. The show played very well indeed. Everything made good and the bill seems ideal for a holiday week. ROBERT DE MONT TRIO Well-known acrobatic comedy act. Some splendid tumbling is introduced. The act is very lively and fast. 7 Min. F. S. KARL One-string violinist. this man's work is remarkable considering the limitations of the instrument, and he gave excellent satisfaction. 13 Min. in One. EARL SIMMONS & CO. In a comedy sketch, "MRS. ROOTER'S BALL GAME." Mr. Simmons was formerly leading man for our Pawtucket Stock Company and no doubt has a little local value. The sketch, while quite funny in spots, is not what it should be to get the salary he probably will want. With a little re-writing I think he has got one of the funniest sketches I have seen in many a day, but I don't think it is quite in shape to book generally as yet. 20 Min. F. S. DOOLEY & SAYLES Same success as always. 25 Min. GABRIEL & CO. Went very well indeed but I would not want the act other than a holiday week as I don't believe that ordinarily the old sketch has got any drawing value. 24 Min. F. S. MAGGIE CLINE First appearance in a dozen years and she made a most unqualified hit. 25 Min. in One with plenty of applause at the finish. HEDGES BROS. & JACOBSON These boys did very well, in fact made a hit, but for this house at least, Edwards, Van & Tierney are much more desirable. I Think these fellows get too much money. 15 Min. Open in Two, close in One. RAYNO'S DOGS Seem to have improved since their last appearance. Act a big laughing hit. 11 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
