REPORT OF B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of May 4th, 1913. John F. Royal. CHARLES LEDEGAR: 10 min. F. S. Garden. Dutchman on bounding rope. Proved very good opening act for show to suffer from hot week. Got by very nicely. ST LOUIS. KINETOPHONE: 1. "Bob Serving the Writ". 2. "The Musical Blacksmiths". "The Musical Blacksmiths" was the biggest hit, in point of applause, of any picture shown here. MAUD MULLER & ED. STANLEY: 15 min. olio. Man and woman in singing and talking act. Woman is very clever. Because they felt a little peeved at this spot, they didn't go over as well as they should and could. Notwithstanding, they were popular hits. Got a nice closing, but would take no bows. BUFFALO, N. Y. B. MILLER KENT & CO.: 17 min. interior F. S. Three men in dramatic sketch entitled, "The Real Mr. Q". Went over nicely. Had them guessing all the way. Climax got a big laugh. Considering the warm weather, and the failure of people to applaud, the act got a good closing. CHICAGO, ILL. WILLA HOLT WAKEFIELD: 15 min. in one - olio. She got over fair. Went better in this spot than next to closing, where she appeared on Sunday. She was able to give her encore, and received a pleasing closing. CHICAGO, ILL. RUTH ST. DENIS: 18 min., open in 2, "special"; close F. S. Two dances, entitled "The [Nautch? Noutch?]" and "The Cobra", supported by a small company. While she may be drawing a few people in, her act is not well thought of. Applause is rather light and scattered. The "Cobra Dance" going the best. As a whole, rather disappointing. OPEN. MR. & MRS. JIMMY BARRY: 25 min. in 1 1/2, special. In this hard spot, and under the existing conditions, they went very big. A laugh all the way. The real hit of the bill. INDIANAPOLIS. ED. MORTON: 14 min. in one, olio. Singing six songs, and making a fine warm-weather act. Moved from number five spot. Went very big. INDIANAPOLIS. MARTINETTI & SYLVESTER: 12 min. F. S. Garden. Knockabout athletes. Fine comedy closing. PHILADELPHIA. PATHE'S WEEKLY: 15 min.
