CRITICISM B.F. Keith's Union Square Theatre, Week of Oct. 13th. [LONSE? LOHSE?] AND STERLING Two men in a fast and thrilling aerial act. The rapidity in which they work is the main feature. They can go any place on the bill. A splendid opener. MORTON AND ELLIOTT Too well known for any detailed criticism. Fred Morton evidently takes the edge off the originators. The jury treated them kindly and gave them a rousing hand when they showed the name of Leach Cross in their paper design. Eight minutes, in one. "THE JARR FAMILY" A new playlet written by Roy Mac Cardell, author of the famous Jarr Family cartoons now appearing in a daily, from which the theme was taken. The company consists of Dan Colyer, Harriet Rose and Jack Pierce. It is rather talky in spots, with an occasional laugh, being poorly constructed, with impossible situations. Not strong enough for the better class of houses. Twenty minutes, full stage. NED MONROE AND CHAS. PUSEY Ned Monroe, formerly of Monroe and Mack, and Chas. Pusey of Jessy Lasky's Company. They work in black face and have some very bright and original material, securing laugh after laugh. Ned Monroe is very funny and they get the act over in great shape. The straight man, Pusey, may be improved upon. Fifteen minutes in one. BESSIE DE VOIE & AL WHITE Presenting a skit called, "The Right Of Way". Miss De Voie makes a stunning appearance, possesses a splendid voice and is a good dancer, while Al White has personality and knows how to put a song over. There is a little story in the skit, that carries the interest. The act is one of class and lifts the show. They scored heavily. Eighteen minutes in one. Offers several new songs, each securing good applause, and going fully as strong as when last seen here. Eighteen minutes in one. LEACH CROSS Receives tremendous applause at every performance on his entrance. His specialty consists of bag punching, calisthenics and shadow boxing. Added to the show the last minute on account of the graft to his name, which is fairly good.
