32 CHASE'S THEATRE, WASHINGTON, D. C. WEEK OCT. 27TH White and Simmons Entire act in one. These two blackface comedians are well known and need no review form us. Audience apparently enjoyed their work. Kathryn Caterman Full stage. Sketch entitled, "Tomorrow at 12". She is a rather clever woman and while this character of offering is not in such demand she evidently pleased. Artia Hall All in one. Southern negro dialect songs. Quite a favorite here. M'lle. Milly Casell Full stage. Handsome woman, magnificent horses, and did the finest equestrienne work we have witnessed. The finish with the dogs is really marvelous. Intermission Miles Stavordale Quintette All in one. Five men using string instruments, play beautifully and novelty consists in imitations of the human voice. A very excellent act. Cole and Johnson Full stage. We join all the other managers in words of highest commendation of these two clever men. Billy Clifford All in one. Songs, dancing and a few lines of comedy. Difficult place on the bill but he secured the favor of the audience, held them to the finish and they were loth to let him go. The English Pony Ballet Full stage. Right girls working now. Believe that they have made improvement since last season yet do not work together so well as they might. Well received. H. Winnifred De Witt, Mgr. HOWARD-BOSTON-OCTOBER 27th-02.
