REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW FOR WEEK APRIL 3, 1911. W.W. Prosser. SIDNEY BAXTER: "The Wiry Scotchman", in a slack wire performance during which he introduced a number of very good excellent tricks. Each of his stunts won applause. The act is finished and very showmanlike throughout. He is assisted very capably by a young woman who adds con- siderable to the appearance of the act through her good looks and mod- est manner. A number of his bicycle sets on the wire were loudly ap- plauded. Went well throughout seering a good finish. 10 minutes. STUART & KEELEY: Young man and young woman in a singing and dancing set that made a favorable impression. These young people are both good looking and introduce a series of solo and duo dances. They were well dressed and the act acquired and held the attention all the way through, finishing strong. This is quite a classy little number and thouroughly O.K. for this spot. 14 minutes, special in one. MR. &. MRS. ALLISON: In the same old sketch, "Minnie from Minnesota". Both of these performances were thoroughly successful and there were roars of laughter at the various clever bits in the piece. Act went well all they way through and finished strong. 17 minutes. G.D.F., close clic in 1. THE THREE ATHLETAS: A trio of very fine looking women, all of them exceptional beauty and physical attractiveness. Their work consists of a routine of Herculean tricks all of which are put over in great shape. Everything they did was well received and they held the undivided at- tention throughout. A very classy set and one that is put on in a man- ner that should create considerable comment. It is absolutely clean and thoroughly interesting. 10 minutes, palace set in E. FELIX ADLER: Dialectician and monologist in a bright line of material consisting of singing and comedy monologue. Scored heavily all the way through, won a lot of laughs and finished strong. Olio in 1, 15 minutes. GERALD GRIFFIN & CO.: 2 men and 2 women in an excellent comedy sketch, "Other People's Money". There is a very good story to this piece, it being a condensation of the well known three act comedy of the same name. Mr. Griffin portrays the character of a money-making old man to perfection. The comedy of the piece arises through his unwittingly as- sisting a young man to marry his own daughter. There are some excellent lines and the piece is well worth while. The laughs were frequent and liberal. Mr. Griffin scored the biggest kind of success personally. His supporting company was adequate. The act finished strong. 25 minutes, O. D. F. FAY, 2 COLEYS & FAY: 2 men, 2 women, in a black face singing and talk-ing act, "From Uncle Tom to Vaudeville". This is a conglomeration of singing, dancing and comedy, all of it quick and to the point, and none of which missed fire. The set was a big laughing hit from beginning to end and gave every evidence of unqualified success. Finished strong, 18 minutes in 1. ANNETTE KELLERMAN: Presenting her well known diabolo and diving specialty in a manner which held every person in the theatre until the drop of the curtain. Miss Kellerman introduces about the same routine she used two years ago and apparently had no trouble arousing and maintaining the interest all the way through her act. Strong applause at finish. 6 minutes, special set in 5. Music Hall Pawtucket R.I.
