REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK NOVEMBER 6th-1911 -- W.W. PROSSER. THE GRAZERS: Young man and woman in musical and dancing offering. Man's impersonation of dancing girl made distinct hit. French horn and Cornet work got by nicely. Novelty toe dancing finish made a fitting conclusion. Moderate appreciation. Palace in four, 10 minutes. (Goes to Cleveland) TIM CRONIN: Monologue and songs.--Gained some good laughs but the whole did not go big. All in all just fair, with pretty good finish. Olio in one, 16 minutes. (Goes to Buffalo) J. C. NUGENT & CO.: Comedy sketch, "The Rounder"--A good laughing number all the way through. Story concerning a "good fellow" coming home, getting into wrong apartment, a woman's, whom he meets, then follow the laughs which are plentifully distributed. Just a bit of seriousness at the finish gives the light and shade. He gave us a finish in one, which is an accommodation but a detriment to the merit of his work. Will eliminate this by changing running order, and having him open in one, instead of thus closing. Library and street in one, 27 minutes. (Goes to Detroit) FRANK STAFFORD & CO.: An act termed "A Novelty Nature production" "A Hunter's Game"--Beautiful exterior set in which is introduced by Stafford the best bird and other imitations that have ever been heard here. There is sufficient story to thoroughly maintain the interest. Woman and dog participate in the piece, and vary successfully. A corking laughing finish. Applause throughout and a very strong finish. Special in four, 19 minutes. (Goes to New York) AL. AND FANNY STEDMAN: Young man and woman in Piano-capers, a lively pair whose singing, dancing and comedy made the biggest kind of hit. Very strong finish, Olio in one, 12 minutes. (Goes to Pittsburg) SLIVERS: Well known clown in "Baseball", who proved a very excellent laughing number. Finish strong. Special cyck. in 4, 15 minutes. (Goes to Indianapolis) MELLVILLE & HIGGINS: Well known team with a lot of new material and the best of the old. Very hard spot, notwithstanding which they got along gine and finished very strong. Street in 1, 16 minutes. (Goes to Hamilton, Canada) ALBER'S POLAR BEARS: Ten big fellows who perform a number of stunts very well. The act is showy and should be very good for the children. Seemed to hold the interest of all and scored quite a good finish. The trainer is a hard worker making things move as rapidly as possible. Special cyck. in five, 10 minutes. (Act is open) MOTION PICTURES: O.K.
