GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. [S?] P. Harris February 26th, 1912. GREY & PETERS. 9 min. Wood. Comedy Bicycle Act. I consider this a very fair opening act. WILLIAMS & SEGAL. 9 min. Olio in One. Singers and dancers. This act is alright for No. 2. I would not care to play them any lower on the bill. FRED KARNO'S "A Night in an English Music Hall," with BILLIE REEVES. 21 min. Full stage. Special. This act is without a doubt one of the worst acts that we have ever played. The scenery is very much worn and dirty and there is absolutely no talent in the act, and the performance as given to us on Monday afternoon was the filthiest thing we have ever had on our stage. There is not one redeeming feature in the entire act and I would feel that I had been cheated even though the salary had been cut in two. I do not know any place in the amusement world where it would fit. CHARLES OLCOTT. 15 min. Olio in One. Caricatures form Lyric Operas. I consider Mr. Olcott.a very clever entertainer. He is doing very well for us. FOUR ROEDERS. 8 min. Garden. Equilibrists. I understand that this is the first week in this country for the Roeders. Their act is neat and a little different from anything else in this line that we have played. The act is a little quiet for a closing act, so I shifted it to a 9 o'clock position. Doing very well. BIXLEY A. LERNER. 16 min. Olio in one. Songs, Patter and Travesty. Not near so good as was with Mr. Fink. However, they are doing fairly well for us. MAUD HALL MACEY & CO. 18 min. "The magpie and the Jay." I see no difference in this act than when Mr. Macey played in it. Maud Hall Macey I consider a very clever woman and they are giving good satisfaction this week. BESSIE WYNN. 20 min. Olio. "The Lady Dainty." Miss Wynn is only going fair with us this week. I do not consider her act near so good as we have had from her in the past. EVA FAY & CO. 18 min. Special in 3. Mrs. Fay is mystifying our audiences this week and I feel that she is really drawing us some money. Think her work really good entertainment aside from the mystery surrounding her work.
