Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of Jan. 12, 1914. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. We have a fairly good bill this week. The first part of it, while the acts are all right, is rather quiet; takes quite a while before the show gets a good start. WALLACE GALVIN Magician, who does some very good manipulation; has a funny bit with a boy and a lot of eggs. O.K. for the spot. 13 Min. in One. WINSCH & POORE Fairly bright little sketch, very prettily presented in the way of scenery, but the people don't seem to have a tremendous amount of ability. The act somewhat resembles Scott & Keane, except that these people sing some songs and do a little dancing, but they, in no sense, have the ability of the artists mentioned. 21 Min. Open F. S. Close in One. THE TWO JONLEYS Well-known act that got considerable applause for its meritorious work. 9 Min. F. S. HUSSY & LEE Two men talking act; one straight, the other Jew; Some good jokes and parodies, but the act is carried over by the Jew boy's personality, which is something of a reminder of Bert Fitzgibbon. 17 Min. in One. ROBT T. HAINES & CO. In a very clever sketch called, "The Man in the Dark." A good sketch. Mr. Haines' work is exceptionally good; his male support is all right, but his female support is very bad; this being his wife, I suppose it must be accepted. 18 Min. F. S. BELLE BLANCHE Well-known impersonator, who did first rate in this splendid light comedian and the woman is a good feeder and she also does some of the best high-kicking dancing we have ever had here. The act scored very strongly. 17 Min. Open F. S. Close in 1. IMHOF, CONN & COREENE A big laughing hit. 26 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
