BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY JULY 27, 1914. THE SOLIMIMES: Musical, 14 minutes in (1) Boy & Girl. Good act, the instrumental selections being particularly well rendered, especially is this true of the violin renditions by the lady. She manifests much skill and the audience bestowed the most hearty applause. They were the big success of the bill. HARRY MURPHY: Singing and talking comedian, 11 minutes in (1) Good act, his comedy being new and very original. The audience liked him immensely and accorded hearty applause in attestation of its approval. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT AUGUST 1, 1914. PITOE & DAYE: Singing, talking and dancing, 12 Minutes in (1) Fairly good act. Open a trifle weak, but improve steadily and surely as the act progresses, until at the expiration they show a Dutch specialty that has never been equaled at our house. In this bit their dancing is excellent and quite won the house, receiving good applause. This is the substitute act which we were obliged to secure from Boston to succeed Howard & Syman who were obliged to cancel Friday A. M. owing to an injured leg from which one of the two was suffering severely, thus making it impossible to continue their engagement. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
