BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY OCTOBER 5, 1914. WILSON & LARSEN: Acrobats, 10 minutes (2) Two Men. Good act, the straight does some good acrobatics, while the comedy end is deserving of special mention. Made good impression. CLARA ILLIG: Comedienne, 10 minutes (1) Good act, singing fairly well a very varied program of songs, while the dancing is quite satisfying as is also her comedy. Went good. FIVE MUSICAL McLARENS: 13 minutes full stage. 3 Ladies. 1 Man. Good act, made a real hit by their cleverness with instruments. Singing not so good, but some fairly clever dancing. All in all a good act and the audience liked them extremely well at all performances. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY OCTOBER 8, 1914. BARRETT & BELLE: Singing, talking and dancing, 10 min. (1) Lady & Man. Interesting act, getting their share of laughs and applause, by some clever wit, fair singing, and rather lively dancing. PAYNTON & GREEN: Acrobats, 10 minutes, full stage, 2 men. Quite the usual run of comedy acrobats, performing practically the same routine of work, yet done in a manner that quite wins the audience, and the applause is gratifying. CRAIG & WILLIAMS: Comedians, 12 minutes (1) 2 Men. Good act, the pure unadulterated comedy keeping the audience in paroxysms of laughter, and compelling them to applaud to the echo, these exceptionally capable purveyors of merry mirth and farcial fun. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
