Report on Providence show week of October 5, 1914. Charles Lovenberg, Mgr. Probably the best bill we have had this season. Almost everything on the bill making a hit, nothing falling down. LAWRENCE & HURL-FALLS Two men in a comedy acrobatic act introducing some excellent tumbling and good comedy. Good enough for any house and capable of closing show if necessary. 8 minutes F.S. WEBB & BURNS Italian Minstrels. Mandolin, guitar playing, singing, and comedy. This act was a decided hit. 15 minutes in one. KENO & MAYNE Offering the act formerly done by Keno and Green. Miss Green is sadly missed in the act, which is now a most mediocre turn. 18 minutes open F. S/ close in one. FARREL-TAYLOR TRIO Three men in black face comedy act. Little playing on musical instruments. Good rough act that went very strong. 22 minutes open F. S. close in one. CLARE KUMMER Miss Kummer is the well known song writer, composer of "Dearie" and many other popular songs, who is offering for the first time some songs at the piano. I cannot say that she did particularly well this afternoon but allowances should be made for the first presentation. She was unquestionably very nervous and a later report would be fairer to her. 10 minutes in one. "THE BRIDE SHOP" I can only repeat all the good things that have been said of this act in other cities. A knock-out. 46 minutes F. S. MULLEN & COOGAN To follow "The Bride Shop" would be a difficult task for any act. Mullen & Coogan did it with credit and were a hit from start to finish. 17 minutes in one. SYLVIA LOYAL & CO. Presenting as pretty an act as we ever had on the stage. Consisting of a little juggling, hat balancing, a little wire walking, some work by a couple of dogs, and an introduction of an endless number of pigeons. 9 minutes F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
