H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW OCT. 19, 1914. HEARST-SELIG MOTION PICTURES. 15 min. Usual run of war pictures and news events. THE KRAMERS. 11 min. F.S. Two men and a woman doing a routine of familiar tricks on the flying rings. Nicely dressed and did well without showing anything sensational. HARRY B. LESTER. 15 min. in One. Started slowly with a couple of songs but picked up well with impressions of popular stage stars. Closed strong. MILTON & DE LONG SISTERS. 15 min. F.S., close in One. Presenting "Twenty Minutes Layover at Alfalfa Junction," with few changes since last seen. Milton handles a good line of comedy talk getting plenty of laughs. The three finish with an instrumental musical number that gives them a good closing bit. Act scored well as a comedy number. ROXY LA ROCCA. 16 min. in One. Very good harpist. Plays classical and popular selections, scoring best with the latter which he works up with good effect by inviting the audience in joining him in whistling his numbers. Closed to a strong hand. EDWIN STEVENS. 24 Min. Open in One, close FULL Stage. "Two Old Men and the Devil" is the best act Stevens has had and gives vaudeville something entirely new. Opening in one, he does a number called "The Passing of the Old Time Actor," a comedy bit which got good results. From this he goes into a travesty called "The Broadway Devil" which has a lot of good material and also includes the tango as a dancing number. Finishes with a character old man bit which gives Stevens ample opportunity to display his versatility and he has excellent assistance from Miss Tina Marshall. The new act is an excellent vehicle and was very well received. BRONSON & BALDWIN. 17 min. in One. Man and woman in a very well arranged singing and dancing number. Well dressed, plenty of action, good songs and all the material well handled. Finish with a lively dancing number. Scored all the way through and drew liberal applause at the finish. MLLE. ADELINE GENEE. 22 min. F.S. After all the other dancers have been seen this marvellous artiste still holds her place as the very best of all. She did four numbers, two alone and two with a dancing partner, all different and each the very essence of terpsichorean art and with the exquisite grace that only Genee possesses. Miss Genee is supported by one male and one female assistant, both of whom prove themselves brilliant artists in solo numbers. Miss Genee's act is vaudeville's best dancing feature and was received with unstinted applause. WILLIE WESTON. 12 min. in One. Sang four songs and gave two recitations, both comedy. All his numbers are popular and were very well received. Held the next-to-closing spot with perfect satisfaction. GAUDSMIDT BROS. 6 min. F.S. Eccentric clowns in an acrobatic novelty in which a very well trained dog is used going through the routine of tricks along with the two men. Good showy acrobatic number and did very well in the closing position. GENERAL REMARKS. With Genee making her first appearance in America on her new tour and surrounded by a well-balanced bill, the show made an excellent impression. There was plenty of comedy and singing throughout the bill and enough variety to the program to make Genee's dancing stand out strong. Bill gave entire satisfaction. CUT MILTON & DE LONG SISTERS. Toning down talk about slit skirt and dropping handkerchief. Omitting the word "damn"
