BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY OCTOBER 19, 1914. GEORGE SCHINDLER: 10 minutes (1) He gets about as much music from the harmonica as one might expect from such an instrument, and the audience accepted the act fairly well for what it is, a bit of a novelty. MURPHY & LACHMAR: 12 minutes (1) Lady and Man. Fairly good act, opening in a lively way with a rapid sally of wit, bright, sparkling, effervescent, full of light, life, laughter, but it falls away somewhat toward the end, and they are not so happy in the closing number, albeit, the audience enjoyed it, and the applause was generous. LITTLE NAP: Chimpanzee, 15 minutes, full stage. A wonderful trained animal, quite the best yet seen here. His many clever tricks brought good applause, while his comedy antics were responsible for a perfect uproar of tumultuous laughter. An emphatic and unprecedented hit. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY OCTOBER 22, 1914. REOSER'S AERIAL DOGS: 13 minutes full stage. 1 Lady. 1 Man. 5 Dogs. Fair act, containing nothing unusual or startling, unless it be the clever work of one of the dogs on the slack wire. MUSICAL VYNOS: 12 minutes, full stage, special set. Lady and Man. Little change in the act since last seen here. Selections rendered very antiquated, and the effects utilized have been in use by these two for so long a time that the novelty has quite worn off. Fair applause at the finish. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
