Report on Providence show week of November 2, 1914. Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr. The bill as a whole is quite good, hardly up to the splendid bill of last week and drops a little in spots. WEILY & TEN EYCK Opens with posing, a little gymnastic work, and a dance. Rather artistically rendered but the sort of thing the audience generally does not care about. 10 minutes F. S. BOND & CASSON Young fellow and girl in a number of songs. Something of a disappointment. They went pretty well but the act did not have half the life that I expected from reports from other cities. Moved up to better the bill. Did 23 minutes this afternoon but cut down to 18 minutes. Open in two close in one. WM. LYTELL & CO. A comedy sketch entitled, "An All Night Session". Rather clever; excellently played by Mr. Lytell with good support by the girl but the young man just squeezes by. However, he does no harm and in an early spot it is all right. 18 minutes F. S. ALF HOLT In an act of old time imitations of various animals and other sounds presented in a new-fashioned way. He did remarkably well. 14 minutes in one. PERIERA SEXTETTE Five string instruments and a piano. These men play very nicely and the act went very well although I am sure it will suffer by a comparison with the Boston Symphony members, who played here afew weeks ago. 20 minutes F. S. MOORE & YATES Well known comedy act which scored very well indeed. 15 minutes in one. ARTHUR PRINCE Mr. Prince's success was unqualified and he drew us a big house and we have a fine advance sale. Much of this part, however, I feel is due to our handling the act and creating an interest. 25 minutes F. S. BELLE BAKER Miss Baker was decidedly handicapped by having a number of her songs rehearsed ahead of her and some of them sung last week, which will always be the case when they sing published songs. However, she was a big hit and this is all we can ask. 15 minutes in one. RICHARDINI TROUPE Three men and a woman in work on the Roman rings and muscular demonstration, the woman doing a large part of the heavy work. A very picturesque act and went very well. Held the audience in well. 11 minutes F. S. Motion PICTURES O. K.
