Report of Providence show week of November 16, 1914. Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr. REDFORD & WINCHESTER As an opening act these fellows did very well. Whether they would hold their own a little further down the bill, is a question in my mind. Vaudeville has unquestionably passed them and besides I believe one of the men is new and seemed rather awkward in his work, at least he is new since I saw them last. The other man's comedy is decidedly strained. However, as an opening act it is all right but I would not say they are worth any more than the special figure I am giving them. 17 minutes F. S. RAY MONDE Man who is a female impersonator and at the same time giving the impression that he is a woman. The interest created in that way is good but his work in itself as a singer and mimic does not amount to much. It is all right to play around once in an early position. 12 minutes in one. FRITZ & LUCY BRUCH Violin and cello players, who played very nicely and went quite well. 15 minutes in two can work in one. PRIMROSE FOUR Well known act that scored the first real hit. 16 minutes in one. BLANCHE RING & CO. Miss Ring is presenting a good sketch and has surrounded herself with a good company and seems to be a good box office attraction judging from the advance sale, although our opening to-day was not as good as with Sylvester Schaffer, Arthur Prince, or Kitty Gordon. Her act pleased decidedly during the sketch with plenty of laughs but she fell down somewhat with her songs at the finish. 40 minutes F. S. closing in one. DOOLEY & RUGEL A youthful pair with songs and comedy talk. They do a good act but need to be watched for blue stuff. 17 minutes in one. TREAT'S SEALS Usual act of the kind and held their spot very well indeed. 13 minutes F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
