REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of DECEMBER 14th - 1914. (R. G. Larsen.) PATHE WEEKLY 17 minutes in one. The best series of pictures we have had in some time. GEORGE LAWRENCE STONE 13 minutes in one. Olio Drop. The xylophonist from the Boston Opera House Orchestra. Has a great routine of classical and popular stuff. Went over in splendid shape. As good a xylophonist as we have ever played. LE FEVRE DUO 11 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Man and woman in series of dances. Scotch, tango, Salome, Tommy Atkins, and Pierrot & Pierrette. A rattling good act, full of life and ginger. Went very well. JOHN E. HENSHAW and GRACE AVERY 21 minutes in one and in two. Garden, Palace and Olio Drops. Supposed to be a new act. We were unable to discover anything that they have not presented here a dozen times before. Went fairly well in this position. FRANK WHITMAN 9 minutes in one. Olio Drop. This dancing fiddler went well. WILLA HOLT WAKEFIELD 12 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Scored a decided hit. BRYAND CHEERBERT'S MARVELOUS MANCHURIANS 9 minutes f.s. Special Set. These five Chinamen are best described by the word "marvelous." One of the greatest acrobatic acts we have ever played. Beautifully dressed, and put on in a thorough showmanlike manner. Scored a very big hit. ADLER and ARLINE 14 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. One of the comedy hits of the show. ETHEL BARRYMORE and CO in "Drifted Apart.' 19 minutes f.s. C.D.F. By no means as good as the Barrie sketch Miss Barrymore gave us last year. Neither did she have the draught this time as she did before. The sketch is well played, but it lacks comedy and is full of dramatics. Closed strong. KAUFMANN BROTHERS 14 minutes in one. Street. These boys had a pretty stiff proposition following Miss Barrymore, with half of the audience in tears. Perhaps they would have gone better had they brought some new material. As it was, they held the spot. But would not care to play them again unless they brought a new act. RAMONA ORTIZ 8 minutes f.s. Cut Garden. Conventional high wire act by a Mexican woman. Fair closer.
