REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of DECEMBER 21st - 1914 (R. G. Larsen.) PATHE WEEKLY 15 minutes in one. Picture Sheet. About the usual assortment of fires and war scenes. THREE WHELANS 13 minutes in two. Palace Drop. Doing the same act they did a year ago, with no change of songs. Just a fair act. EL COTA 14 minutes in one. Olio Drop. This xylophone player has some good selections. woke things up in great shape. MEYAKO SISTERS 14 minutes f.s. Special Set. Two little Japanese girls, with a male assistant. Have an excellent routine of contortionist work, acrobatics, singing and dancing. Have pleasing personalities, and do a very good act. The hit of the act is their singing of American rag-time songs. Could go anywhere in the middle of a bill and make good. MARIE FITZGIBBONS 17 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Miss Fitzgibbons has some very good stories, all new. Scored a distinct laughing hit. JOE BOGANNY'S TROUPE of ROYAL LUNATIC BAKERS 15 minutes f.s. Special Set. Boganny has dressed up his act in a new way, and added considerable new material, including a prize fight between two dwarfs. Was a howl of laughter from start to finish. Went exceptionally big with the houseful of youngsters at the matinee. GUS VAN and JOE SCHENCK 16 minutes in one. Olio Drop. These boys always bring some new songs, and this trip is no exception. Scored a very big hit. FRED J. ARDATH and CO in "HIRAM ON THE FARM" 22 minutes f.s. special Set. The greatest lot of "hokum" ever thrown together and called an act. Yet the audience screamed with laughter at their antics. A great act for holiday week. BEN RYAN and HARRIETTE LEE 16 minutes in one. Street. A very good act, mostly comedy and dancing. Held this hard spot with credit. LUCY GILLETT 14 minutes f.s. Special Set. The father of this young woman informed us after the night show started that his daughter positive would not close the show. Stated they were going to pack up and go back to New York. She stayed. A good juggling act that made an acceptable closer, but would be better value in the middle of a show. CHRISTMAS PANTOMIME 30 minutes f.s. and Picture Sheet. Special Set. this feature, which has been an attraction for Christmas week at this house for years, drew a good house this afternoon. The youngsters saw one of the best holiday shows in years.
