Report on Providence show week of January 18, 1915. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. We have a particularly good show this week, one the audience seemed to appreciate from start to finish. LADY ALICE'S PETS Act composed principally of work done by trained rats with slight assistance from a couple of cats and dogs. I was very adverse to playing this act on account of feeling that it would be offensive to most people. I cannot say that I watched it with much appreciation myself because I have a great horror of reptiles and things that creep but the fact remains that it is a great novelty and is not as offensive as it would seem from the advertising. The act got considerable applause. 13 minutes F. S. FRANK MULLANE Irish and Hebrew stories and songs. Act too well known to require comment. Fared very nicely in this spot. 12 minutes in one. WILL WARD & MUSICAL BOUQUET OF FIVE GIRLS Mr. Ward is a Providence product and always a good drawing card for us. Has a big following of Knights of Columbus, Elks, etc. He has a very good act and needless to say it was a big hit here. 20 minutes F. S. MR. & MRS. MCGREEVEY Well known rube act with old man and country girl which scored its usual big hit. 14 minutes in one. MME. DOREE OPERA COMPANY In "Great Moments from Grand Opera". Not the best singers in the world but the act is attractively presented and manages to get over very big. 25 minutes F. S. 2 minutes in one. CLAUD & FANNIE USHER In their new act, "The Straight Path", which scored as well as their former presentations. 27 minutes F. S. RYAN & LEE One of the best and liveliest acts of its kind in the business. Scored a tremendous hit following a show of hits. 16 minutes in one. THE SEVEN BRACKS After all the risley acts have been seen, this one comes forth as a revelation. Held the audience in their seats and made the biggest kind of a hit. 9 minutes F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
