REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of JANUARY 18th - 1915. (R. G. Larsen.) PATHE WEEKLY 13 minutes in one. Picture sheet. LOHSE and STERLING 5 minutes f.s. Palace. A good, fast act on the Roman rings. Man and woman. Could go down on the bill, or close a show. CECILIA WRIGHT 9 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Miss Wright has been laying off for six weeks. It may have been that, but at any rate she did not get over very well. JOHN R. GORDON and CO in "Knight and Day." 14 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Another of those rapid-fire, mix-up farces that vaudeville has passed by. Got some laughs, especially at the finish. COOPER and SMITH 17 minutes in one. Special Drop. This is Cooper of Cooper & Robinson, and Chris Smith, doing a piano and comedy singing act called "Hotel Gossip." One works as a bellhop, the other as a porter. Have some original songs, and scored a great, big hit. JAMES C. MORTON and RALPH AUSTIN 18 minutes f.s. Special Drop. Very short close in one. Olio Drop. A riot. One of the best rough comedy acts we have played. UNA CLAYTON and CO in "MILK". 31 minutes f.s. Special Set. Miss Clayton has provided a very pretty scene, and the act itself holds the interest, but is rather long drawn out. It is a question if vaudeville patrons want this sort of thing. We have had special performances, and got considerable publicity in the newspapers and department stores, but the fact remains that the act seems to have kept people away, instead of bringing them into the theatre. JOHN and MAE BURKE 17 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Open and close in one. Street and O P Drapery. Same hit as always. TOBY CLAUDE and WILLIAM SMYTHE in "La Petite Revuette." 18 minutes f.s. Special Set. Close in one. Landscape drop. A very pretty novelty that sets off Miss Claude's work to excellent advantage. Made thoroughly good in the headline position. OMAR'S ARABS 8 minutes f.s. Landscape. As these acrobats have played all the cheap houses in town as Bobker's Arabs, and go to the Old Howard next week as the "14 Sons of The Desert," we gave them a new name. A good whirlwind tumbling act, spoiled by the ten cent stamp.
