BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY JANUARY 25, 1915. JIMMY EDGE: Contortionist, 6 minutes (2) Good act, displaying unusual cleverness in the performance of many difficult tricks which for the most part are decidedly new and original. BEN RYAN & HARRIETTE LEE: 16 minutes (1) Lady and Man. Good act, their work being characterized by dash and vivacity rarely seen. Their material is refreshingly new, and handled in a skillful manner. The dance numbers by the man awoke great interest on the part of the audience. Act went good at all performances. EDWIN HOLLAND & JAS. HORN: Sketch, 15 minutes (2) Special drop. Good act, in which the serious and the comic are cleverly interwoven and delightfully interpreted. Both men display abundant ability, and they held the attention of all throughout the presentation and were heartily applauded at the finish. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY JANUARY 28, 1915. DAVE WELLINGTON: Comedy juggler, 11 minutes (2) Good act, displaying considerable adroitness in the performance of some decidedly difficult tricks, many of which are new and of a highly interesting nature. MURRAY & DRAKE: Comedy talking and singing skit, 18 minutes (2) special drop. Lady and Man. Good act, being refreshingly new and up-to-date. Comedy is spontaneous and unfailing as laugh producer, and they kept everyone well entertained throughout. Their closing number is excellent, than which, they scarcely could have selected a better. MONETA FIVE: Musical, 17 minutes C. D. F. 3 Ladies. 2 Men. Very good act. Perform upon a large variety of instruments with excellent results, while the vocal renditions met with instantaneous and hearty approval. Good choice of selections rendered in a most finished and artistic style, and the act was an emphatic hit at all performances. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
