H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW FEB. 1, 1915. PATHE NEWS WEEKLY. 13 min. A very satisfactory reel of pictures, including some good war scenes and a picture of Billy Sunday, who is holding a revival here at present. He was given a warm hand of applause. PIPIFAX & PANLO. 12 min. Two men, foreigners, in an almost exact duplicate of the old Rice & Prevost act and a very good comedy acrobatic number. Was a good opening act. CHARLOTTE RAVENSCROFT. 9 min. Girl of good appearance sings and plays the violin. Uses popular music and was very well liked in the number two position. FLANAGAN & EDWARDS. 16 min. These boys repeated their former comedy skit, "Off and On." No change has been made in the act from start to finish but it went very good with the usual amount of laughs and at the finish was given a good hand. BABY HELEN. 12 min. This is the third time this wonderful child artist has played this house and for the third time she proved one of the big applause hits of the bill. She has changed her song numbers, finishing with a grand opera selection which brought her a riot of applause. BLANCHE WALSH & CO. 28 min. The third act of Clyde Fitch's famous play, "The Woman in the Case," is the vehicle used by Miss Walsh and company of six. It is the scene where "Mrs. Ralph" forces the confession from "Claire Forster," the big dramatic climax of the play. there is considerable dialogue reaching up to this one big incident, but being splendidly played, especially by Miss Walsh and Marie Horton, it held the audience at strict attention until the finale. As a dramatic sketch, it is a strong feature that will strike home wherever dramatic sketches are appreciated. It was liberally applauded here. MILLER & LYLES. 13 min. These two colored boys were a regular comedy clean-up. They kept the audience laughing with their talk and then sent them into roars with their burlesque boxing and dancing finish. As a comedy hit, this is absolutely sure fire. MARION LITTLEFIELD & CO. 20 min. This is an A1 vocal offering and will surely be appreciated by any audience that enjoys good singing. Their selections are mainly grand opera numbers which they sing splendidly, each member of the company having an excellent voice and ability to use it. Their ensemble numbers are particularly worthy. For a finish popular ballads are used. Every number was rewarded with spontaneous applause and the act as a whole scored a hit. The best act Miss Littlefield has ever brought into this house. STUART BARNES. 22 min. With some slight changes in his song numbers, he put over his usual hit in this house. He is using about the same line of talk but gets his usual results in the way of laughs. At the finish was liberally rewarded with applause. BAGONGHI. 7 min. This is a European equestrian act, the rider being a dwarf who burlesques riding on horseback working considerable comedy through the way he tumbles about on the back of the horse. In the closing position, at the end of a big laughing show, he created a riot of laughter and should fit in as a big comedy number on any bill. GEN. REMARKS. This amusement lovers seeking bargains in A1 entertainment will find the best done up in a package consisting of three solid hours for sale at bargain prices - 25 cents to $1.00. This is one of the best shows we have had this season, playing like wild fire from start to finish with several big applause hits, being particularly strong
