REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of FEBRUARY 8, '15. (R. G. Larsen.) KURTIS' EDUCATED ROOSTERS 10 minutes F.S. Special cyclorama. One of the best acts of the kind we have ever played. Went over strong. JOSEPHINE DAVIS 19 minutes in ONE. O.P. Drapery. Miss Davis went over very well indeed in this position. Has some beautiful gowns, and makes a pleasing stage appearance. WILL H. MURPHY and BLANCHE NICHOLS in "A Quiet room." 21 minutes F.S. Interior. This is a new act, with Murphy as an actor who hires a "quiet" room in a boarding house, and Miss Nichols as the maid-of-all-work. They are supported by one man. Along the usual Murphy & Nichols' lines, with all kinds of mishaps and rackets in the "quiet" room, ending up with a fire scene. The curtain falls as the hoseman is playing a stream of water on Murphy. the latter, clad in his nightshirt, is trying to find a refuge under the bed. While the piece is a bit rough, it got a lot of laughs, and went over very well as a whole. MILLER and LYLES 11 minutes in ONE. Street Drop. These boys have quite a good line of talk. Their burlesque boxing match in ragtime brought them a good close. GARDINER TRIO 13 minutes F.S. Palace. There is a new girl in this act. She does not possess the personality of the one she replaced. Still, they got over in excellent shape. MARSHALL MONTGOMERY 17 minutes in ONE. Special Drapery. Rolled up a solid applause hit. BRANDON HURST and CO in EDWARD PEPLE'S "THE GIRL" 19 minutes F.S. Interior. A sensational comedy sketch in two parts, with a surprise finish. One of the greatest acts of the kind we have ever played. Held the interest every minute, and closed big. HARRY BREEN 20 minutes in ONE. Garden Drop. Breen has added a lot of new material. He held this spot in great shape. OKABE JAPANESE TROUPE 10 minutes F.S. Special Set. Seven men and one girl, in a splendid routine of gymnastic and equilibristic feats. An excellent closer.
