BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY FEBRUARY 22, 1915. SYMONDS & WESTON: Singing, talking, dancing and piano. 20 min. (1) Lady and Man. Fair act, occasions one or two laughs. Man does fairly good impersonation, and lady has one song at the piano that goes well. A dancing finish is somewhat weak. KURTIS' ROOSTERS: 11 minutes, full stage, special set. Good novelty. Something not seen here before, and it just manages to hold attention and to interest somewhat, because of its newness here. FOUR ENTERTAINERS: 18 minutes (1) Good act, having a good choice of songs well-rendered; Our audiences are exceptionally partial to singing quartettes, and this aggregation pleased immensely, and went very big at all performances. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY FEBRUARY 25, 1915. MARINO SISTERS: Vocal, 13 minutes (1) Good act, displaying good voices in a repertoire of well selected songs ranging from operatic to the more popular melodies of the moment. Attractive in appearance, and with aid of beautiful costumes the girls are good to look upon. JACK POLK: Comedian, 12 minutes (1) Real "nut" comedian. His material is absolute nonsense but it is successful as a laugh getter keeping everyone well entertained throughout. HARRISON ARMSTRONG PLAYERS: Sketch, 15 minutes C.D.F. 2 people. good act undoubtedly for an audience that likes the sketch idea of entertainment; But our town does not take kindly to sketches and the "heart interest" idea in which this sketch abounds does not prevail to any great extent in making a lasting or favorable impression upon our audience. Consequently its reception was rather tame, and there was no noticeable demonstration at its close.
